Volunteer at Pride 2024

In this exciting new role, you will either host an information stand at your local Pride. You will raising awareness of endometriosis and Endometriosis UK within LGBTQIA+ communities. You will be an integral part of ensuring everyone with endometriosis has access to support

You can volunteer by yourself, or with friends, family or colleagues... the more the merrier!

What will you be doing?

  • Host an Endometriosis UK information stand
  • Engage the public in conversation about our support offer
  • Take and set up Endometriosis UK branded materials 
  • Provide Endometriosis UK with event and volunteer experience feedback
  • Act in line with our Volunteer policies and Code of Conduct

Parade

  • Walk in the parade with branded Endometriosis UK materials

What is required for this role?

No special qualifications are needed for this role. You will need to be:
  • Confident speaking with the public
  • Comfortable in loud and crowded areas
  • Able to communicate and empathise with others who have different backgrounds and life experiences
  • In support of Endometriosis UK’s mission and commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
  • Aged 16 or over, and have photo ID

We value diversity. Research shows that people from marginalised communities are more likely to experience poor healthcare. They are also underrepresented within the endometriosis community and our pool of volunteers. We encourage applications from people from marginalised communities, including people who are LGBTQIA+ and from ethnic minorities.

Training

You will receive a Volunteer Brief ensuring you have the necessary knowledge and skills for your role. Endometriosis UK will be contactable on the event day. There will also be event staff on hand.  All expenses are covered in alignment with our expenses policy.
