We are delighted to welcome Kirsteen Sullivan MP as the Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Endometriosis. Kirsteen is the Labour (Co-op) MP for Bathgate and Linlithgow and was newly elected in July 2024. Since being elected, Kirsteen has been a champion for those with endometriosis and has spoken in Parliament and her constituency about the challenges faced by the endometriosis community and the changes that are needed to improve care.
Kirsteen said: "I'm delighted to have been elected as the Chair of the All-Party-Parliamentary-Group on Endometriosis. Endometriosis is a common condition that can have a devastating impact, and I look forward to Chairing the Group and working with colleagues across both Houses, the endometriosis community, medical professionals and others to bring this issue further up the parliamentary agenda and bring light to the many issues currently facing those with the disease.
Having recently also been diagnosed with adenomyosis, I can understand the challenges in accessing a diagnosis and living with a menstrual health condition.
Thanks to Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP:
We would like to say a huge thank you to Bell Ribeiro-Addy MP for Charing the APPG on Endometriosis and for all the work she has done to raise vital awareness of endometriosis in Parliament. Bell has played an instrumental role in re setting up the Group after the election, and empowering new MPs to join in raising awareness and calling for change.
