The UK parliament debate on endometriosis and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) research is taking place today Monday 1 November! The debate is due to begin at 4.30pm in Westminster Hall and you can watch it live here.
The debate will be opened by Taiwo Owatemi, the Labour MP for Coventry North West and Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities. Responding for the government will be Maria Caulfield, Conservative MP for Lewes and Minister for Patient Safety and Primary Care.
A number of other MPs have said they plan to attend the debate including Hannah Bardell, SNP MP for Livingston and Vice Chair of the APPG on Endometriosis, John Lamont Conservative MP for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk, and Alex Norris Labour MP for Nottingham North, member of the Endometriosis APPG and Shadow Minister for Public Health.
We would like to see the debate lead to concrete action to increase research funding for both endometriosis and PCOS, and hope to see the next steps agreed in order to achieve this aim.
