Meet the Support Group Leader(s)

Michelle

Hi all,

My name is Michelle and I was recently diagnosed with endometriosis and adenomyosis at 28 years old. Last October I had my first laparoscopic surgery and they discovered significant endometriosis which couldn't be removed during that surgery. I then had a second laparoscopy in January where they managed to remove the endometriosis but also discovered adenomyosis. So a good news, bad news situation but it has helped me to build an understanding of these conditions and how I can start to manage them. Good thing I like to learn!

I want to help break down barriers so that everyone understands it is OK to talk about your periods, this is something that should not be a taboo subject! We need to help those around us understand and learn what endometriosis is and I want to support others in a way I never got supported as it can be such a lonely experience.

Anyway, I really look forward to meeting you all and starting a group that can help and support you as together we are stronger than the condition that tries to bring us down.

Darn, I made it cheesy!

See you soon

Michelle
