Norfolk and Norwich Support Group
About this group
✨ Hi everyone! I'm Charley, support group leader of Endometriosis UK Norwich ✨
We’re starting monthly meet-ups 💛 Every first Sunday at 1 pm — gentle, fun, supportive time together.
Our Norwich Support Group is a friendly, informal, and safe space where you can meet others who understand what it’s like to live with endometriosis. The most important thing to know is that you are not alone.
There is never any pressure or expectation at our meetings. Some people find comfort in sharing their experiences, while others prefer to listen. You are welcome to take part in whichever way feels right for you, and you will always be supported without judgment.
We recognise that everyone is at a different stage in their journey. Whether you are just beginning to explore your symptoms, waiting for a diagnosis, or have been living with endometriosis for many years, you are welcome to join us.
The Norwich group usually meets once a month, and all meeting dates are posted on our group page. If it’s your first time attending, you are more than welcome to bring a friend or family member along for support.
If you’d like to learn more about our group or have any questions, please write us on our Facebook Group.
💌 Everyone welcome! Whether you want company, a gentle walk, or just someone to talk to. Drop a comment or message if you’d like to join.
💫 Hope to see you there!
Charley ✨

Meet the Support Group Leader(s)
Charlotte
Hi there, I'm Charlie and I'm the Support Group Leader for the Norfolk and Norwich branch of Endometriosis UK. My endometriosis journey started in October 2022 at the age of 42, and came completely out of the blue. By the time I was diagnosed with suspected endometriosis via an ultrasound, it was so severe that I had to have an emergency ureteric stent placed to protect my kidney, as well as go on a monthly hormonal injection to put me in a temporary menopause in order to reduce the pain. Then the hospital appointments started which would tell me that I needed a partial hysterectomy (everything except one ovary), a bowel resection, extensive endometriosis tissue removal and separation of organs. That was a lot of information to process in a very short space of time, and I don't think I have ever felt so overwhelmed in my life. One of the things that got me through that extremely turbulent time was the support of other women. I promised myself that if I ever made it out the other side that I would give back to that community that helped me, and continue to create a space where other women can find support in helping them navigate their own endometriosis journeys. So if you’re here, I’m really sorry that you (or perhaps someone you know) is battling this disease, but please know that you are not alone. Come and join our support network and connect with others who understand what you are going through. |
