Leicester Support Group

About this group

We've just celebrated our 4th successful year of running group support meetings. Our focus, motivation and platform to raise awareness grows on a day to day basis. I dont know where I would be without my endo warrior's!

My aim is to help others around me better understand the condition, raise awareness within my community, destroy stigmas around periods in general and to let men and women know its okay to talk... period!

The group is here to build the support circle you need, this condition can be very isolating to say the least. Sometimes having a label makes things easier to understand and on other levels it empowers you as a woman to stand up for your basic human rights.

The group is aimed at those with endometriosis but also welcomes anyone with a friend or loved one who wants to gain knowledge and an understanding on how best to support that individual.

I was undiagnosed for over 10 years. I had been through various different tests, processes of elimination to be told that there wasn’t anything wrong with me. My symptoms became worse just before I turned 30 and my acupuncturist advised me to get checked out for endometriosis. I was finally diagnosed via laparoscopy in 2015.
