Meet the Support Group Leader(s)

My Story:

I was undiagnosed for over 10 years. I had been through various different tests, processes of elimination to be told that there wasn’t anything wrong with me. My symptoms became worse just before I turned 30 and my acupuncturist advised me to get checked out for endometriosis. I was finally diagnosed via laparoscopy in 2015.

About the support group:

My aim is to help others around me better understand the condition, raise awareness within my community, destroy stigmas around periods in general and to let men and women know its okay to talk period!

The group is here to build the support circle you need. Sometimes having a label makes things easier to accept and on other levels it also empowers you as a woman to stand up for your basic human rights.

The group is aimed at those with endometriosis but also welcomes anyone with a friend or loved one who wants to gain knowledge and an understanding on how best to support that individual.
