Meet the Support Group Leader(s)

Abby

My Story:

I was diagnosed with Endometriosis during 2010.  Shortly after my diagnosis I began visting the Cardiff group for support.  For the first time in my life I met women who knew what I went through & learnt about my treatment options.

I am now the co-leader of the support group & I am passionate about providing a variety of guest speakers, experts in their field, who may be able to help us manage our symptoms.

My Story:

I have had Endometriosis symptoms since I was 12, and finally reached a diagnosis in 2018. Since then I’ve wanted to get as involved as possible in raising awareness and have loved meeting so many amazing people with similar experiences to me. I have just finished an Undergraduate Degree and am about to start a Masters in Cancer Biology. I really enjoy keeping up to date on research to do with Endometriosis.

About the support group:

Welcome to the Cardiff Support Group!

We aim to provide monthly meetings, with specialist guest speakers to provide information on managing various aspects of endometriosis & the way it effects our lives. During this time we plan to have frequent virtual meetings with the aim to resume face to face meetings when restrictions allow.

Throughout the summer we arrange informal socials/walks/coffee meetings across Cardiff City Centre.

Please sign up to our mailing list to recieve details & reminders of our upcoming meetings.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Phoebe

General Session Information:

Virtual meetings will be held until social distancing measures are relaxed.

During the summer we plan on doing more informal activities such as nature walks/coffee meet-ups.
