Meet the Support Group Leader(s)

I’ve recently moved to the area and noticed there is little to no support available for people affected by endometriosis. Living with endometriosis can have a huge impact on mental health, and the way its symptoms affect daily life can feel incredibly isolating. I truly believe it’s vital that people with endometriosis have access to peer support and a space where they can connect with others who genuinely understand their experiences. I hope this group becomes a place of comfort, understanding, and support for anyone who needs it.

During my time at university, I struggled a lot when my endometriosis forced me to step away from my course and from friends. I often felt like no one could truly understand what I was going through, and being the only person I knew with the condition left me feeling very alone. I’m in a much better place now, and I want to help create the kind of supportive community that I didn’t have access to when I needed it most.

Endometriosis is such a unique and challenging experience — constantly having to fight to be taken seriously by doctors, living with invisible pain, and repeatedly explaining a condition many people have never even heard of. Meeting others who simply get it can be such a relief. Joining Endometriosis UK connected me with some incredibly inspiring women who are passionate about awareness and advocacy, and I’m really excited to build a local community to support others living with endometriosis.
