Walk for Endo FAQs

What is Walk for Endo?

Walk for Endo is a fundraising challenge where you walk 8,000+ steps a day throughout July and collect sponsorship.

Can I start the challenge at any time?

We will be encouraging everyone to start their challenge on 1 July and continue throughout the month. However, if you are joining the challenge later or you have missed a few days, you can continue into August or make up the difference with extra steps throughout July.

How do I keep track of my steps?

Most phones have built in step counters or you can use a fitbit or pedometer to keep a track. If you do have a fitbit, you can link it to your Just Giving page so your supporters can keep track of your progress

How do I get an Endometriosis UK T-shirt?

When you complete the registration form you will be given the opportunity to purchase a T-shirt. If you’ve already completed your registration without purchasing a T-shirt or you’d like to purchase more T-shirts please email the team at fundraising@endometriosis-uk.org

I've raised my first £25 online, how do I get my Water Pouch?

Sit back and relax - we'll be monitoring fundraising pages and automatically sending out water pouches throughout June and July! Just be sure to get in touch with us if you have recently had a change of address.

What if 8,000+ steps a day is too much for me?

We want this challenge to be open to all fitness levels but we understand many participants may be suffering with endometriosis themselves. If you can’t do your steps one day why not nominate someone to do them for you and donate. You could get a group together and do a relay with you each taking it in turns to walk on different days. If you need longer to complete your challenge that’s ok too!

How do I get my Fundraising pack?

Your fundraising pack will be automatically sent you one hour after registration. If you haven’t received it please email fundraising@endometriosis-uk.org

Where does the money go?

We are a small charity who rely on donations. Every penny you raise through Walk for Endo goes towards ensuring we can continue to be there for those suffering with endometriosis who face difficult decisions around diagnosis and treatment. We support the 1in10 with endometriosis through our support service which include our volunteer led helpline, web chat, online forum and face to face support groups and through our reliable information provision as well as through our campaigning work that drives real change for 1in10 with endometriosis.
