Since April, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Endometriosis has been gathering evidence for an inquiry into endometriosis in the workplace – and as secretariat, Endometriosis UK has been supporting this process.
Alongside the written evidence, the APPG has also been holding a series of oral evidence hearings, that heard from those living with endometriosis, employers, and endometriosis organisations and groups by sharing their experiences and answering questions directly from MPs. These sessions have helped to build a fuller picture of the impact of endometriosis in the workplace.
What happens next?
All evidence and experiences shared will now feed into a report that will be presented to government later this year. The aim is to help influence policy on menstrual health in the workplace, pushing for real, practical improvements to help those living with endometriosis at work.
We'll continue to keep you updated as the inquiry progresses. And once again, thank you to everyone who shared their experiences and helped drive this work forward.
