Endometriosis UK Welcome new employers to the Endometriosis Friendly Employer Scheme

Endometriosis UK is delighted to announce the latest organisations to join the scheme:

  • Humberside Police, which has more than 4,000 staff across the region it serves
  • CEVA Logistics, a global supply chain solutions provider
  • Cambridge University Libraries and Archives, part of Cambridge University
  • Nineteen Group, a conferences, events and digital media company company
  • Tribelle, which describes itself as an online pharmacy built for women, by women
  • The Menopause Charity, whose mission is to make sure everyone understands menopause and the impact it can have

Sahithi Amaravadi, co-founder of TribElle, says: "I've spent years managing endometriosis while navigating workplaces that didn't have the support or understanding I needed. It's why TribElle was founded - and why I'm incredibly proud that, in our first year as a company, we're making this commitment. Women with endometriosis shouldn't have to choose between their health and their career. We want TribElle to be a place where every woman feels seen, supported, and able to show up authentically."

Anna Piper-Thompson, an Endometriosis Champion at Cambridge University Libraries and Archives (CULA), says: “We recognise that endometriosis affects every facet of the lives of those who live with it, including work. By joining the Endometriosis Friendly Employer scheme, CULA aims to break down stigma and ensure that all those living with this condition feel supported while working across our network of libraries and archives. As someone who lives with endometriosis and adenomyosis, joining this scheme has helped me feel practically supported and compassionately heard at work. Moreover, as staff who provide access to resources, and connect people to knowledge, we are committed to not only use this scheme for the benefit of the staff working in our libraries, but also for improving the research experience of those using them.”

 

These employers have signalled their intention to improve support for those with endometriosis in their workforce, as well as breaking down taboos and stigmas around menstrual health.

As part of the scheme, the employers appoint Endometriosis Champions, who will receive training from Endometriosis UK, to enable them to provide support and information to colleagues.
