Fundraising News!

March brings our annual Primrose Ball on the 5th, organised by Rosalind Kirkham and Michelle Middleton. You can buy tickets and read about last year’s event here: http://www.theprimroseball.co.uk/. It’s set to be even bigger and better than last year!

7th -13th March is our official endometriosis awareness week. The theme will be on the impact endometriosis has on womens lives. More information to follow in the coming weeks.

In April, we are organising our first Pink Pants 5k fun run in Leicester on 10th April – don your (Diary Doll) pink pants then run, walk, skip, hop or jump your way to the finish line at this family-friendly EUK event! If you want to be involved but for some reason cannot take part in the 5k fun run, we will be recruiting for volunteers to help us on the day.

On 17th April we have some fantastic fundraisers running the Brighton marathon for EndometriosisUK – a staggering 26.2 miles! We need volunteers for our #GoTeamEndo cheer squad to support runners at the Brighton Marathon and other events. If you live close to Brighton, or fancy soaking up the sights of Brighton and enjoying the electric atmosphere of a marathon race, apply here to become part of our official Endo cheer squad.

We have two exclusive places in the Super Hero Fun Run on 15th May; choose from a distance of 5k or 10k, and become our very own endo warrior for the day around London’s beautiful Regents Park. Bring friends, a picnic and your favourite superhero outfit and raise all-essential funds for EUK!

On 10th July, we have a handful of fundraisers taking part in the British 10k race, set in the heart of central London. The course follows iconic monuments – if you’re not running, why not join our cheer squad and support that way? Our amazing fundraisers needs all the support they can get; if you have a loud cheering voice and bundles of enthusiasm, get involved!

September is our official Pink Pants Month! We hope it will be bigger, pinker and raise even more funds this year so we can continue to provide our vital support services. Our signature Mad Pants Tea Party fundraiser encourages you to bake, bake, bake and most importantly, EAT lots of cake! Put on your Diary Doll pink pants, invite your friends round for some tasty home baked treats and cups of tea – ask for a donation in return for Endometriosis UK, and you've got yourself a Mad Pants Tea Party! You could even offer baking lessons, host a mad pants cake off (who can make the best cupcake?) or perhaps host a bake sale. The possibilities are endless!

The Pink Pants X London challenge will take place one Saturday in September and will see us walking from Richmond to Tower Hill via the Thames path. The Pink Pants X-London Challenge is an excellent opportunity to see famous London landmarks and to meet other women who have similar experiences of endometriosis, to bond with and achieve something fantastic together. Date is to be confirmed.

Please check out our events page in the coming weeks to register for any of the above Endometriosis UK events!

As well as these fantastic events in 2016, we will be introducing iron-on EndoUK logos for our fabulous fundraisers. These logos will be suitable to iron on your own light coloured clothing (t-shirts, pants, running vests etc.) and will replace the generic t-shirts we have historically sent out to our fundraisers. These iron-on logos will be free to fundraisers, with a small selection being made available to purchase on our website for non-fundraisers. Our hashtag #GoTeamEndo will be included with our logo as an iron-on – let’s see how many people outside of our community #GoTeamEndo will inspire and engage!

We’d like to thank you for your continued support and can’t wait to see your faces in 2016! For any more information, please contact me on fundraising@endometriosis-uk.org.
