Meet Magdalena, Derbyshire Support Group leader

Derbyshire Support Group leader Magdalena shares what connecting with others with endometriosis means to her, with details on her upcoming group walk in her local area.

I'm Magdalena and I volunteer with Endometriosis UK as Support Group leader for the Derbyshire group.

The great outdoors has always been my sanctuary, a place where I find solace and rejuvenation. I feel there's a  power that nature holds, coupled with the therapeutic strength of bonding with fellow warriors who share similar journeys. Recognising this connection, I am inviting those with endometriosis in the local area to join me for a rejuvenating walk amidst the tranquil local woods.

It's more than just a walk; it's a journey of forging connections, embracing challenges, and celebrating what makes us unique. We'll be walking together in the woods allowing moments for introspection, exploration, and shared experiences. Our adventure is of course subject to the whims of weather, prioritising everyone's safety and comfort.

So, let's lace up those boots, open our hearts, share stories, lean on one another, and celebrate our strength. Whether participants are seeking solace, connection, or simply a breath of fresh air, this walk promises to be a meaningful and supportive experience for all.

For any questions or additional information, please don't hesitate to reach out, I'd love to hear from you.

Magdalena will be hosting a walk in the woods in Sheffield on Wednesday the 17th of April at 10am. For more information on the walk, or to find out more about the Derbyshire support group, please get in touch on: derbyshiregroup@endometriosis-uk.org
