Joanne Hanley - Endometriosis UK's new Specialist Advisor and Advanced Clinical Practitioner within Northwest Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis Centre will be hosting this webinar. Joanne will be covering:

  • Preparing for an appointment with your GP
  • What to expect when you are referred to a Gynaecologist
  • Preparing for a consultation, what should I ask?
  • Investigations that might be recommended
  • Planning treatment

What’s an Advanced Clinical Practitioner?

Joanne is a registered nurse/specialist nurse with a Masters qualification in advanced practice. This enables her to work as an autonomous practitioner, she run clinics and manage patients care, commence treatment, request and review investigation and work closely with Surgeons as part of the surgical planning process (planning only). Joanne also provides support to patients during hospital stays and outside of the clinical setting, supporting symptom, patient management and clinical queries through emails and telephone consultations. Alongside Joanne's endometriosis role she also works within an emergency gynaecology department, she assesses, investigates, diagnoses and manages a wide array of gynaecological conditions from early pregnancy complaints to acute presentations of endometriosis symptoms.
