APPG on Endometriosis Workplace Inquiry – Thank you for Sharing your Experiences and Next Steps

From today [July 24th], the open call for evidence for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Endometriosis' inquiry into endometriosis in the workplace is now closed, and we want to say a massive thank you to the thousands who took the time to share your workplace experiences. Whether you're an employer or someone with lived experience of diagnosed or suspected endometriosis, your experiences will now become part of a body of evidence to help policymakers understand what's working and what needs to change. Thank you, too, to everyone who helped spread the word within your networks, workplaces, and communities.

Since April, the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Endometriosis has been gathering evidence for an inquiry into endometriosis in the workplace – and as secretariat, Endometriosis UK has been supporting this process.

Alongside the written evidence, the APPG has also been holding a series of oral evidence hearings, that heard from those living with endometriosis, employers, and endometriosis organisations and groups by sharing their experiences and answering questions directly from MPs. These sessions have helped to build a fuller picture of the impact of endometriosis in the workplace.

What happens next?

All evidence and experiences shared will now feed into a report that will be presented to government later this year. The aim is to help influence policy on menstrual health in the workplace, pushing for real, practical improvements to help those living with endometriosis at work.

We'll continue to keep you updated as the inquiry progresses. And once again, thank you to everyone who shared their experiences and helped drive this work forward.
