Manchester Support Group
Antonia is the group leader for the Endometriosis UK Manchester Support Group.
My Story: I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2014 following a relatively short diagnosis period (9 months). Sharing my story and experiences with others through the Endometriosis UK Online Community and the Helpline was immensely helpful and reassuring. Knowing how valuable this support was prompted me to get more involved by becoming a support group leader.
Who are the meetings for? The support group provides a safe, supportive and friendly environment for sharing your experiences. It offers the opportunity to be listened to and understood, and know that you are not alone. A mixture of informal meetings and talks from guest speakers offer additional information on topics that are of interest to the group. It is hoped that the group can promote fundraising for, and greater awareness of, endometriosis.
Whether you are recently diagnosed or have lived with the condition for years you are very welcome to come along for a cuppa!
