London Support Group

Our London Group runs over three sites throughout London and are facilitated by our team of volunteers.

Meetings held at University College Hospital London are led by Tijen: I was diagnosed in 2016 when doctors discovered an endometrial cyst following fertility tests to find out why I wasn’t conceiving naturally. I had been to my GP five years before this with various symptoms that led me to suspect I’d had endometriosis since I was a teenager, but I was dismissed and told there was nothing that could be done about it. I know how frustrating it is not to feel heard. I want to help support others get the information they need.

Meetings held at Guys Hospital are led by Helen: I was diagnosed in 2011 aged 26, and understand how living with the disease physically and emotionally impacts on every aspect of your life. I joined the Group because I want to help to improve support for ladies and their loved ones: by bringing people together I hope that no one feels that they have to suffer alone. I try to be open about my Endo journey to help educate others, spread the word and positively promote the disease.

Meetings held at Royal Free Hospital are led by Natascha: I was diagnosed with endometriosis in January 2007, although I first presented to a doctor aged 14 in 1991. After three years of being pretty much bedridden with pain, I had a second surgery in 2013 which helped enormously. I have facilitated other groups for people with various long term chronic health conditions and have found this so rewarding,  I wanted to extend this to those with endometriosis.

About the support group: The aim of the  London group is to involve, engage and interact with other women who also have endometriosis. The London Support group aims to run regular meetings and cover a variety of topics to help with the management of endometriosis. Being in Central London gives the group access to brilliant speakers who are keen to send across a positive message in relation to managing the condition.

We look forward to welcoming you to the group.
