Become a Helpline Volunteer

The Endometriosis UK Helpline is a vital part of our volunteer Support Network.

It offers those with endometriosis a chance to talk about their feelings and experience to someone who knows exactly what they are going through.

The rewards of being a Helpline Volunteer are very special - knowing that you have helped a caller can be immensely satisfying.

What’s the role of an Endometriosis UK Helpline volunteer?

The helpline is a service that is in high demand and something that we can only provide with the help of our dedicated team of volunteers.

Our volunteers need to have the ability to listen, be non-judgemental, have patience, empathy and remain calm. Volunteers do not offer advice of any kind, be it medical, financial or legal.

How do I apply to become a helpline volunteer?

We are currently recruiting for helpline volunteers, we would particularly like to hear from people who can do a shift on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday afternoon.

In order to apply you will need to read through the role description and then complete and submit an application form to our Support Network Officer at support@endometriosis-uk.org.

What training is available?

All helpline volunteers receive training to ensure they have the necessary skills before becoming members of the team. If your application is successful, you will be invited to our training event. All reasonable expenses are paid for by Endometriosis UK. The next training session will be held online on Tuesday 13th September 2022.

If you have any further questions, please contact us at support@endometriosis-uk.org.
