About this group

The support group offers a safe environment for women and their loved ones to share their experiences of endometriosis, find information and meet new people also on their own endo journey.  There will be a mixture of speakers and informal groups across a range of topics.  We also take part in fundraising and awareness driving activites.

Although I received my official diagnosis in 2020, my symptoms began in my teenage years. Like many people with Endometriosis, it took a long time to get answers. My diagnosis only came after I collapsed at work in my role as an emergency responder, a frightening moment that finally led to the care I needed. Since then, I’ve also faced challenges with Adenomyosis that ultimately lead to a hysterectomy. These experiences have shaped me deeply and given me a real understanding of how overwhelming, confusing, and isolating this journey can be.

Alongside this role, I co-run an Endometriosis support group at my workplace as part of the Endometriosis Friendly Employer Scheme. Supporting colleagues and helping to build awareness has shown me just how important open conversations and community can be.

I’m really looking forward to getting to know everyone in the Chertsey and North Surrey community, hearing your stories, and creating a friendly, supportive space where we can share experiences and lift each other up.
