Being diagnosed with endometriosis can be a daunting experience, but you don't have to face it alone.
Our support network is here for everyone affected by endometriosis. Whether you have questions about your diagnosis, want to talk through treatment options, or simply need someone who understands, we have trained volunteers and expert nurses ready to help. You can also join a local support group our online-community to connect with others affected by endometriosis.
We offer three ways to get in touch: our nurse-led support line, our volunteer helpline, and our web chat service. Our services cannot provide medical advice and can only connect individuals with volunteers who can only talk about endometriosis based on their own experience. If you need guidance from a clinician, please contact your GP or endometriosis specialist.

Our Nurses are here to help
Our experienced nurse support team is ready to provide expert information and guidance on endometriosis. All advice is based on clinical expertise along with the latest guidelines from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE). Please note, our team cannot provide diagnoses - see our medical disclaimer here.
To get in touch with one of our nurses, you can either send your query via email for a written response within 3 - 5 working days to nurses@endometriosis-uk.org or alternatively you can book a call to speak directly to one of our nurses.
Please note: This is a UK service only, we are unable to accept helpline requests from outside of the UK.

Who will call/ email me back?
One of our experienced gynaecology nurses will call or email you (depending on your preferred contact method) between 10am - 4pm, Monday to Friday. Our nurses are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
What kind of enquiries do you take?
- People facing treatment choices; including preparing for surgery and managing treatment side effects.
- People wanting to talk through details of results.
- People struggling to advocate for themselves with health care professionals.
- Someone concerned they may have endometriosis.
- General advice and sign posting post-surgery.
Can the Nurses give medical advice?
Our nurses provide up-to-date information based on the latest research and clinical expertise. They will help you understand your options, but they cannot offer direct medical advice. The information is meant to complement - not replace - advice from your own healthcare team.
If you require direct medical advice, we always advise you contact your own medical team. If you need urgent medical help, please call 999.
Is the service confidential?
Your information is confidential within the team. However, to adhere to professional guidelines, there may be situations where confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. For full details, please review our Confidentiality Agreement.
Is this different to the current volunteer support line?
The nurse helpline works collaboratively with the volunteer support help line and services. With your permission we may refer you for further support with our trained volunteers who have a personal experience of endometriosis, that may be via the helpline or support to join a support group. Equally if one of our volunteers feels that you may benefit from speaking with a registered nurse, with your permission they will refer you to this service and one of our nurses will reach out to you or they may encourage you to call the nurse support line.
Why can I not call the nurse directly myself?
We know that the nurse support line is a much-needed service and anticipate that the nurse line will be busy. At busy times, it would currently be unmanageable to take live calls. We want to avoid you having to wait on the line and right now feel our booking form works better. A nurse will give you a call back at your pre-booked time.
Internally we will consistently monitor the volume of enquiries and our ability to manage this and then act accordingly to provide a high level of service.
