Give researchers your perspective on what it's like living with endometriosis

Tuesday, February 14, 2017

We are a group of psychologists from Manchester Metropolitan University who are researching the impact of endometriosis on women’s wellbeing. The team are; Dr Emma Turley, Professor Sarah Grogan and Dr Jenny Cole.

Even though endometriosis affects as many women as diabetes, there isn’t much research from the perspective of women who have the condition, and a lot of the research that has been done already is from the perspective of medical and health professionals. We think it is important to hear about the issues from women themselves, so our research is aiming to understand the different ways that endometriosis can affect wellbeing. We are asking women with medically diagnosed endometriosis to fill in an online survey about their everyday experiences of living with the condition. We understand that every woman’s experience of endometriosis is different, and we would like to hear about a range of experiences for this project.
