Local Groups

“Mentally and emotionally the support group have done more for me than any pill ever could have. To finally be able to talk openly and honestly about how I felt, to women who knew exactly what I was going through, saw me through many dark times. I knew there was always someone there when I was feeling very low.

“I would highly recommend to others that they find a group near them. The support and empathy makes living with endo bearable. In fact I think the NHS should have these support groups on prescription!”

We currently have over 40 volunteer-run groups across the UK. Local groups give those whose lives are affected by endometriosis the chance to meet each other for mutual support and advice, and to share information about managing symptoms, treatments etc. The meetings provide the opportunity for anyone affected by endometriosis to discuss and share their experiences with others who understand - not just the physical, but also the emotional, problems associated with this condition.

Meetings can be social events, but often involve speakers, such as gynaecologists or complementary therapists, giving attendees the chance to ask questions and gain knowledge about their condition.
