Central London Group

We are Emma and Katherine, the joint group leaders of the Central London group.

emma katherine

Having both suffered the effects of endometriosis for a number of years, we want to offer a positive group within which women can meet to share their experiences.

We have been members of an endo support group before and feel passionate about providing a place for women to come where they can start to feel positive about their diagnosis and be inspired by other women's stories.

In the future, we hope to include a variety of speakers and would welcome suggestions on the kind of professionals you would like to hear speak on endometriosis.

If you are interested in attending, or have any other questions, please contact us via the link below.

Thanks
Emma and Katherine

Next Meeting:

Date: Tuesday 28 February
Time: 6.30pm - 8.30pm
Location: The McNair Centre, Guys Hospital

This meeting will be a 'Significant Others' meeting where we encourage members to bring along a person who is important to them to the meeting to try and raise awareness of what living with the condition can be like. This significant other could be a partner, parent, friend, sibling, colleague - anyone who is important to you and supports you through your journey with endometriosis!

Please reply via email if you plan to attend so we can ensure we have enough seating in the venue.

In between meetings, there are many sources of support

1.      The free helpline run by Endo UK: 0808 808 2227
2.      The message board on Endo UK website: http://www.endometriosis-uk.org/onlinecom.html
3.      Facebook – add 'Endometriosis UK Reg. Charity' as a Friend – or you can use this link:http://www.facebook.com/endometriosisuk
4.      Facebook – join 'Central London Endometriosis Support Group'  – for our support group

5.      If you are newly diagnosed, you might like to see this short video, which explains things in a very clear and simple way:http://vimeo.com/20910143

You could also request an info pack from the charity via email here:
http://www.endometriosis-uk.org/information/infopackform.aspx
and factsheets on different topics here:
http://www.endometriosis-uk.org/information/publicationsform.aspx

If you are not already a member of the charity, I really encourage you to join. We need as many members as possible, because the bigger our community is, the greater impact we can make. An estimated 2 million women in the UK have endometriosis, yet our charity only has 1,600 members.

To ensure we, as the leading endometriosis charity, can achieve our goal of making 'endometriosis' a household name, we need you on board! We need to work together to make life better for women with endometriosis. Membership costs £20 per year or £10 for students/unwaged. A new member pack contains a copy of Living with Endometriosis - a recently launched booklet full of real life stories, information and advice. Members also receive our quarterly magazine Endolink, which is full of interesting and informative articles, nutritional advice and recipes, and real life stories.
