Amarjeet, the Leicester group leader

Amarjeet - Group Leader

Leicestershire Group

Hi, my name is Amarjeet and I will be running the Leicestershire Endometriosis Group.

After over 20 years of suffering alone I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis in 2007. I was offered no guidance or support to help me deal with the emotional and physical impact on my wellbeing.

I was fed up being alone in this so I decided to form a support group in order to provide a mutual support network, offering advice, information and understanding for those with endometriosis and their families.

Whether you've just been diagnosed or have been living with
endometriosis for years, these meetings will be an opportunity to meet others living with endometriosis, share experiences, raise awareness and find out more information about the condition.

I look forward to seeing you.

Next meeting:

I am sad to announce that I will be temporarily unable to run the group and that meetings will be on hold until March 2010, but they should resume soon after.

If anyone feels they are in a position to take over the group, please do not hesitate to get in touch with the wonderful people at Endometriosis UK.  They are able to provide all the training and support you need to become a group leader. I'm sure you will find becoming a group leader as fulfilling as I have.

I wish you all the best.
