Enfield Group

"My name is Melissa, and I am the group leader of the Enfield Endometriosis UK Support Group. I am 21 years old. I was diagnosed with Endometriosis at 19, and have suffered since the age of 13.

I am very understanding of the illness, and the impact it has on everyday life, including jobs and relationships with friends, family and partners. I understand how isolating and alone you can feel.

I use to attend the meetings before I took over the group, and I want to give something back for the amazing support I received.

My aim for the group is to be an invaluable source of support and information with a group of ladies/friends who understand what we are each going through. The guest speakers I choose are ones who provide a positive message that there is ways to manage the illness and have a better quality of life.

The meetings are monthly and have a variety of guest speakers. These range from gynaecological doctors, pain management doctors, Pilate’s teacher, nutritionist, hypnotist and many more.

Friends, families and partners are always welcome to come along."

If you are in Enfield or the surrounding area, please come and join us!!

To contact Melissa, please email enfieldendometriosis@hotmail.co.uk
