Reading Group

My name is Emma. I was diagnosed with endometriosis at the beginning of 2010 after many years of painful periods and lots of "feeling not quite right" most of the time! After my diagnosis, I wanted to try and meet other people with the disease and so I joined a Support Group. This was so helpful as I finally met people who understood what I was going through and could offer support and kind words. I have been volunteering for Endometriosis UK as a support group leader in London since February 2011 and wanted to set up a group in Reading to help women come together to support and empower each other in their diagnosis.

The next Reading Support group meeting will take place on Friday 20th April - 7.30pm - 9.30pm at the Risc Cafe, 35-39 London Street in Meeting Room 2. The meeting will feature a speaker on the uses of acupuncture in the management of endometriosis and will allow time for general discussion or questions.

I am asking for a £2 contribution to cover the hire of the room and refreshments for this meeting. Attendance must be confirmed to readingendogroup@yahoo.co.uk.

I would like to join an Endometriosis UK support group...
