"closed/not open" - please note that the helpline may be open on these days, if we get a volunteer at the last minute. Please call the freephone helpline number 0808 808 2227, and the recorded message will tell you when the helpline is next open.

You may remember in the last Endolink, we highlighted the need to be open during the day in order to improve the number of callers that we actually connect with. At the training weekend in November, two helpliners who are able to cover day time shifts completed training. This means that we are now able to open the helpline during the day every Wednesday and Thursday, which is great news. We are already seeing the difference that this is making to the number of calls we are connecting to, and will keep you updated.

Our helpline opening times are now published and updated regularly on our website. With a number of new volunteers, plus the commitment and dedication of all our existing helpliners, we are able to open more. For the next couple of months we are open every weekday evening, during the day on Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings, plus some weekends. These times are subject to change, but if you need to call the helpline, please call 0808 808 2227 and if the service is unavailable, the message will tell you when the helpline is next open.
