JUST WALK

15th May 2010

Just Walk is designed to offer enthusiastic walkers the chance to experience a breathtaking walk over the picturesque South Downs while raising money for Endometriosis UK.

It's a fantastic event with options to participate in either a gentle 10km or 20km walk, or, for the more adventurous, a whopping 40km or 60km walk. The event takes place over one day (and maybe into the night for you 60km folks). Plus a free packed lunch is provided.

Why not bring along the family too? Under 12’s are welcome on the 10km and 20km routes and can register for free for the 10km!

Just Walk 2009 took place in May and one of our members, Emma Saunders, along with her friend, Kath, took up the challenge.

Emma said: "It was an honour to walk for Endometriosis UK and I think we got the message across to a lot of people who've never even heard of endo before.

"It was a very tough challenge, I really did think it would be years and years before I'd be physically able to do anything like that. We walked 20km in 3 hours 28 minutes.

Kath had a flu bug too so she was a proper trouper! Sore feet, creaky knees and still cream crackered but totally worth it.

"I know it's a cliche but if it helps one more person to learn about or seek help for endometriosis then that's all I was doing it for."

Registration and event fees will vary depending on the challenge. When you have registered for the event please let Rachel know and she’ll send you a sponsorship pack.
