Legacies

3) Who would you like to benefit?
Begin with family and friends, then charities such as Endometriosis UK. Remember, a will is an excellent way of making a final statement about the values you held during your lifetime.

4) Decide on how you wish to leave your legacies. Details on the types of gifts you can leave follows in the next section.

Please note that your will is revocable – meaning you can change the provisions in your will at any time.

How can you help

Residual gift – a bequest of the remainder of your estate after providing for your family, friends and other expenses have been deducted
Pecuniary gift – this type of bequest is a fixed amount of money, which may be reduced as a result of inflation in the future
Specific gift – a bequest of a specific item, from a piece of jewellery to a painting
A reversionary gift – a bequest that comes into effect when something else happens. For example, when someone passes away or when someone reaches the age of 21 years old
A donation in memory – you can request that a donation be made to Endometriosis UK in your memory
