The BIG Jump March 2010
Our first ever BIG Jump took place in Awareness Week, and was an absolutely fantastic day!
The weather was perfect, and the atmosphere on the day was great. We can’t wait until the next one in September – find out more about that one here.
In total there were 8 brave jumpers all willing to leap out of a plane at 10,000 feet in the air to raise awareness and money for women with endometriosis. So far, they’ve raised over £2500! We can’t thank them enough. Here’s what they had to say after landing...

“The instructors were fantastic and really helped to make the experience. They knew how to put you at ease and made it fun. I had never done anything like this before - I don't even like going on roller coasters! But the jump was a fantastic experience. It was exhilarating floating down to earth when the parachute finally opened. I would really like to thank you for your support over the past few months, it’s appreciated.” |

“I decided to do the BIG jump to raise awareness of endo as it is surprising how common it is yet most people I talk to have no idea what it is. I was only diagnosed last year at the age of 20 and the past year has been a huge struggle both physically and emotionally. Doing this jump has definitely raised not only £577 but most importantly a huge amount of awareness. The jump was absolutely amazing – a complete thrill – I have thoroughly enjoyed ‘flying the flag’ for endometriosis. Woo hoo!!” |

“I decided to do the BIG Jump for Endo UK to raise awareness of endometriosis. I was diagnosed four years ago when I was 28 after suffering symptoms for over nine years and receiving many misdiagnoses including IBS and PCOS.
"I’ve raised over £500 and in doing that also raised awareness with everyone I’ve asked. The skydive was amazing and I can’t wait to do it again!” |

“The jump was amazing, I thought I would be scared but it was awesome! The instructors put you completely at ease and make it fun and exciting. I would recommend it to everyone and it is a great way to raise money for a great charity.” |

“I jumped on 13th March for endo to raise money and awareness. I had a fantastic day - from start to finish the feeling was amazing. So much so that I want to do it again.” |

“Wow is all I could manage to say once I realised what I had just done! I was diagnosed 10 years ago with severe endometriosis at the age of 14 and have always been asked ‘what’s that?’ So it was my time to fly the flag and make people aware what endometriosis is! And I am pleased to say £1,200 sponsorship later I am extremely pleased I have done this and want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported me!” |
