Rachel Denyer sang for 10 hours to raise money for Endo UK!
Refugee Action and Lucky Voice, Private Karaoke teamed up on November 9th, to organise an event called Charioke - a 10 hour karaoke marathon. They were kind enough to invite other charities along. I heard about it less than 48 hours before it happened but I love to sing and I really wanted to raise some money for Endometriosis UK. It's such an important cause to me and the other 2 million women out there who suffer from it, so I thought this is something I can't miss! I set to work building my fundraising page and got a donation almost immediately!

The day started at 1pm with a quick warm up and then we had 10 hours to sing our hearts out! We enjoyed it so much, we stayed about 12 hours! You'd have thought we would have had enough, but no!
We had some competitions in the afternoon, judged by the staff at Lucky Voice - thank you so much to them for hosting it. Our group won the "Best Charity Song" for our rendition of Lean On Me - which we felt had good lyrics and represented both Endometriosis UK and Refugee Action. I also won "Best Show Tune" for my rendition of Don't Cry For Me Argentina.
The competitions were not filmed but many of the songs I got sponsored to do, were.
If you'd like to take a look and have a good laugh, feel free! |

If you do find it funny, please give a quid or two to Endometriosis UK. You can read my story on my fundraising page and make a simple donation here.
