Campaign! Raise awareness of endometriosis in the workplace
A 2006 survey of 3,500 UK women living with endometriosis showed that the impact at work was unacceptable. The number of work days lost had reached a level where the cost to industry and commerce is estimated to be £3 billion.
Endometriosis UK is targeting employers with a view to increasing understanding of endometriosis and reducing the impact it has in the workplace.
A leaflet has been produced for employers which explains what endometriosis is, the impact it can have and what an employer can do to support staff members who are affected by endometriosis.
